The adoption travel market is unique and requires an agent to be patient, knowledgeable and creative as well as possess excellent communication skills. International Adoption Travel works closely with each family’s adoption agency to meet the unique level of support that relates to that agency’s local capabilities in the adoptive country.

COUNTRIES SERVICED

	Russia is now our leading adoptive country. We provide international and domestic air, accommodations and transfers

	China is our second most requested country. We offer packaged products with non-stop flights and 3 nights accommodations.

	Guatemala is gaining in popularity, though airline inventory is frequently sold out. Adoption fares are available.

	India travel most often requires adoption fares. Children can be brought back to the United States by an escort; however, escorts are not allowed to use adoption fares.

	Ukraine is unique in that prospective parents are required to be in the Ukraine for an extended period of time prior to the adoption being processed. Because tickets must be processed for the newly adopted child after arrival in Ukraine, they cannot be issued prior to the parent’s departure from the US.

	Armenian adoptions require an exit through Georgia. This presents somewhat of a challenge because of tense relations between the two countries.

	Kazakhstan can be reached with KLM, Lufthansa and British Air. Another route is through Istanbul on Turkish Air, which has one way fares for the adopted children.

	Tajikistan travel has been limited to escorts.

	Marshall Islands adoption transfers occur in Hawaii. However, adoptive parents are required to be present at the birth of the child. Because of this, travel must begin on short notice.
